Al Nuaimi Announces Dominique de Villepin & Anwar Ibrahim as VIP Speakers at the First Ajman International Economic Conference.

Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdullah Bin Sultan Al Nuaimi, Director Department of Customs and the Port of Ajman announced Dominique de Villepin & Anwar Ibrahim as VIP speakers at the first Ajman International Economic Conference, which will also gather other regional and global leaders, as speakers, to share and discuss their expertise and success stories of their visions which have contributed to the success of their countries and

 institutions by taking advantage of opportunities in the light of the current economic challenges and achieving strategic bjectives.

The conference organized under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, on April 07, 2010, at the Kempinski Hotel, strives to develop strategies and economic approaches that will contribute to build and sustain the national and regional economy through exchange of ideas and views and scrutinize the challenges and opportunities posed by emerging regional and global economic issues. 

Speaking about the conference, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdullah Bin Sultan Al Nuaimi, Director Department of Customs and the Port of Ajman, said, “Following the directives of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman and His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, the conference acknowledges the crucial need for the development of leadership, organizational excellence and economy, to be able to enhance national economic competitiveness and increase global investments into the state.”

The conference will be graced by Dominique de Villepin, Former Prime Minister of France and Anwar Ibrahim, Former Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia as speakers, thus converging business leaders and government administrative and economic thinkers as well as regional speakers to contribute to building the national economy of their countries.

Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdullah Bin Sultan Al Nuaimi, Director Department of Customs and the Port of Ajman, also added that, “The participation of these prominent leaders in this conference would be a valuable experience for regional and global governmental and businesses leaders, economists and senior executives to interact with and exchange experiences to further enhance their strategies to strengthen the national and regional economies from the perspective of modern economic methods, focusing on long-term positive impacts on the economy.”

It is noteworthy to mention that Dominique de Villepin was born in November 14, 1953 in the city of Rabat in Morocco and appointed in 2003 as the French Minister of Foreign Affairs and on May 31, 2005 as prime minister of France. He is a prominent figure in the Arab and Islamic world in general and is one of the critical economic decision-makers in the government of former French President Jacques Chirac. He possesses an array of intellectual experience and expertise.

Anwar Ibrahim is also one of the leading economic figures in Asia. He is the former deputy chief of the National Union party PAS since 1982, and consecutively took over the ministries of youth and sport, agriculture and the Ministry of Education and from 1993 until 1998, where upon he was appointed to the post of Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, Minister of Finance. He is a determined and eminent personality who always strives to build bridges of cooperation between East and West for the development of regional and global economy and is also a professor at the University of Oxford.
