Ajman Free Zone Authority organized at its headquarters a blood donation campaign in collaboration with Sharjah Blood Transfusion and Research Services Center, within the framework of its social and human role in containing the crises of blood shortages for the needy and the injured in traffic accidents, in addition to the heart surgeries which need large blood quantities. The fourth campaign of Ajman Free Zone, the second this year,

witnessed a large turnout by the targeted volunteers, the employees of the port and customs department of Ajman, who came to the donation caravan totaling 42 donors apart from volunteers who were medically unfit and could not donate.

Commenting on the continuation of blood donation campaigns organized by Ajman Free Zone, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulla bin Sultan Al-Nuaimi, Director General of Ajman Ports and Customs Department and Ajman Free Zone Authority said, “We are always keen to adopt similar humanitarian initiatives aimed at adopting all that serves humanity. Blood donation is considered our prime social participation especially that the blood donation campaign this time targeted the containment of the crises of blood shortages for the needy and the injured in traffic accidents, in addition to heart surgeries that need large blood quantities”. He pointed out that this is the fourth campaign of its kind within other campaigns conducted at different occasions, the most significant of which was the last campaign that directly targeted standing by and supporting the Palestinian people by aiding the wounded and the sick that were caused by the tyrant aggression. On mobilizing the support for this campaign, Sheikh Mohammed Al-Nuaimi said, “We have applied a number of mechanisms to attract the public to this humanitarian work, as we have utilized all means of communication and contacts though direct letters, advertising posters, emails and SMS messages by phones in order to draw the attention and call for participation and donation”. Ajman Free Zone prepared a collection of juices that it presented to the participants following their donation.
